Introducing Discussionist: A new forum by the creators of DU

Fri Apr 27, 2012, 11:14 PM

A self-described Ron Paul devotee called in to Norman Goldman's show today.

He was saying how wrong Romney was on several issues. Norman asked him if Obama is making any moves to war on Iran, guy said no. Asked if he thought Romeny would go to war with Iran -- yes!

Then he asked "who do you think is better for our country, Obama or Romney?" And the guy said Obama!

That was pretty interesting.

1. I wonder how a Paulbot vote breakdown will look like this year - i.e., how many for

Romney, Obama, the Libertarian candidate, write-in for Paul, or just stay home?

2. I think there are quite a few of them, so I'd love it if most of them

feared Romney the way this guy did!

3. Heard that today.

It was interesting.

I'm a big fan of Norman, and I'd rather listen to him right now than most of whats out there, cept Tom, and maybe Rachael.

7. It's amazing how much mileage Paul and liberterians can get

when they're only right about two issues.
It may be a good sign that at least one Paulbot would support Obama over Rmoney.

8. I'm hoping that there are more like him who, if they FEAR Romney, will vote

for Obama and not just write in Paul.

12. I know a female ronbot...

She is a teacher and more of what paul demonizes...but that won't stop
her. She'll show you.

Tikki
she's a racist, homophobic, bigot...I mean
a lady has to get her priorities in order.

11. Yeah, I think many of those who clung to Ron Paul over war issues will defect to Obama.

Good catch gately.

13. Cons that I know like Paul only for his hard right economic views, but chafe at his anti-war stance

To a few, his anti-war stance is an absolute deal breaker for them, regardless of how far right he is on economic policy.

17. I think those who agree w/Paul on his war views do so because of the money the

government has to spend, not because they feel war is wrong, per se.
