“I certainly stand by my remarks, because it's widely known that McVeigh was anti-government. I think that he was a right-winger, and I think the current tea party people, while I'm not saying that they're proposing violence, they're anti-government,” party Chairman Wallace Collins said.

The chairman of the Oklahoma Democratic Party is refusing to back down from comments he made that likened convicted Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh to tea party activists.

Chairman Wallace Collins, who last week told a Fox News reporter that if McVeigh were alive today he would likely be a member of the tea party, reiterated his position Tuesday.

TeaBaggers from which to choose. Linking McVeigh to the Teabaggers is kind of pointless, since he "passed away" before the Teabag movement began.

It's so distressing when someone bullseyes you with a comment like that. You might consider running off to the courthouse and filing a lawsuit against that meanie Wallace Collins, but I'm not sure "definition of character" is a legally cognizable cause of action.

i just have a sneaky suspicion that if we win big this election.. ie hold the POTUS, and the Senate, take back the house.. that there in fact will be another event, the size of OK City..

Ironically if it doesn't happen it will be thwarted by homeland security folks.. for what ever it's worth, i have an idea they are watching the right wingers, at least as much as they are the occupy folks
