The awkward moment Sarah Palin raised $25,000 for Hillary Clinton's election campaign

Sarah Palin is so right wing, she thinks FOX News is left of centre. So she probably wasn’t expecting to be the catalyst of a $25,000 election campaign boost for her Democrat opponent Hillary Clinton. How? By not choosing her props carefully enough.

During a speech at the Iowa Freedom Summit last week, she whipped out a Ready for Hillary PAC magnet.

“I’m ready for Hillary, are you? Are you coming?” she told her largely Republican audience.

Luckily for the Ready for Hillary campaign, they were. And tweeted an image of the event along with a link to a fundraising email, asking donors to give $20.16 to own a car magnet just like Palin’s.

The campaign’s HQ have since confirmed the following: Sarah Palin inadvertently gave herself a new title — Co-Chair of Ready for Hillary’s National Finance Council!

The response we got was overwhelming — hundreds of supporters stepped up and Sarah ended up raising Ready for Hillary over $25,000 in grassroots donations.

Here’s the kicker — by raising $25,000, Sarah officially qualifies as a Co-Chair of our National Finance Council.

In general, I agree with you that the contemporary use of "Democrat" as an adjective is primarily a right-wing verbal tic.

The charitable view in this instance, however, is that the author is a Briton who isn't up to speed about this nuance of American usage.

that had a poor choice of letters from different words as a slogan/symbol.

Something in Florida, I think.

Anyone got a picture of that?
