Listening to her incredibly insipid defense of Joni Ernst's presentation brought forth memories of her defenses of Christie, W., Christine Todd Whitman after 9/11, and every other miscreant who has sullied our airwaves with horrifying bullshit coupled with incompetent delivery and lies.
She is a disgrace to liberated women, to educated women, to successful women inasmuch as her ascent to the co-anchor of a minimally-watched but very influential in its own right program is infected wtih that pseudo-wide-eyed wonderment and outright infatuation with anything, frankly, right-wing and Truman-show-fake. It is utterly repulsive. I give Scarborough credit to the extent that he is simply a RW whore whose attempts to be bipartisan are so transparently false that you just laugh at him but at least his forthright presentation is marginally palatable. She is utterly without depth despite her posturing. Her father must shake his head daily, but be impressed at the size of the check which she cashes each week.

(26,060 posts)She did finally kind of admit the woman was dumb as dirt but I can't remember what specific event turned her around. You have to wonder where she'd be, what she'd be doing if Zbieg wasn't her father.

(26,060 posts)I'm completely on board with the quote from Madeline Albright - there is a special place in hell for women who don't help other women (I think I got that right - if not, it's damn close).

(22,140 posts)so she just acts like she doesn't have the ability to apply critical thinking. It's been working for her for many years.
This fawning over Joni Ernst is sickening.

(10,252 posts)Joni Ernst "didn't embarrass herself" and so was successful. ewwww When asked what she thought of the president's speech, Totenberg made a disgusting face like she just found a worm in her breakfast. When Mika announced her almost all Republican line-up for guests, that's when I changed the channel to Bill Press. Let's face it folks, the RWers are going to rant and rave about how POTUS is lawless, waging class warfare, blah blah blah forever. They are all a bunch of selfish sociopaths.

never call anyone out because she never seems to study up on anything so therefore
can not debate.
Equally annoying is her prudishness.
Joe, on the other hand, is a conservative republican who has glimpses of sanity every once in a while. No, not enough, but more than many. IMHO

(11,001 posts)show have her standing behind Joe or minimized in the picture like a Steford wife. Some of the stills, like the one with her leg provocatively in the air, are laughable, as she tries to appear sexy. Is that why Joe's wife took a hike?

(2,280 posts)She only plays one on TV. Her role is to be the liberal foil for conservative Joe, so he parrots GOP talking points and she agrees; he can say 'even a liberal like Mika agrees with me'. She is an pro-life conservative and always has been.
The show is a pathetic Faux and Friends wannabe. This morning is a prime example with guest line-up heavily weighted to GOP officials and conservatives (including Paul Ryan, Carly Fiorina and Rience Prebus) none of whom were seriously challenged for the BS they spouted.

Watching TV is not.
Engaging in something that results in negative emotional reactions is destructive, can cause all manner of physical and emotional problems, and is life destroying..
I don't know why anyone would choose to do it.

(42,770 posts)she seems genuinely scared of. It would be a far better show to get
a real liberal woman with a brain. But, bet Joe wouldn't go along with that and
as he points out a lot - it's his show.
