it showed, for me, how war can fuck someone up mentally, Bradley Cooper was great portraying Chris Kyle.

4. I Was In Vietnam And Usually Do Not Watch These War Movies.
Tue Jan 20, 2015, 11:04 AM

Having been in the middle of a war zone and experiencing it for myself. There is little that these movies can show me that I do not already know. I knew our Battalion sniper. His name was Sergeant Wade. And I was taken aback at how much he seemed to enjoy and even loved what he was doing. I wonder how he came out after the war.

And when you go into a tent with 30 bodies of our own to identify our people like I did in April 1968, the real cost of war really hits home.

15. What is your perspective on people who enjoy killing other human beings and view them all as
Tue Jan 20, 2015, 11:15 AM

as savages' 'I don't care about those people, they are all savages' or whatever it was he said. Much like some of our Fox Educated Leaders, Cheney eg, and some of our Generals: 'treat the Iraqis like dogs' and/or 'we don't do body counts' when asked how many Iraqis had died.

Hopefully we will never be invaded as those people were. Either we will have to acknowledge that THEIR snipers are heroes too, or become hypocrites and scream 'war crimes'.

The real heroes of the illegal and immoral Iraq invasion are those who came home enlightened and told the truth about that massive war crime.

People like Pat Tillman and Manning eg. THAT took courage. Shooting at people who don't even know you are there, is far from heroic, imho. Facing the wrath of the 'you are either with us or against us' gang, is far more heroic. But the first casualty of insane wars is always the truth and the truth tellers the most heroic, are generally the first targets.

3. What is the money threshold for a war movie for it not to be sick-sick-sick

Would $10M be okay?

Are you proposing some censorship board to stop war movies?

Are you against people seeing movies you don't like? Maybe ration ticket sales to undesirable movies?

What exactly is your point here and your solution?

13. Ah, such a rational response to my simple question.

I personally don't like war movies and won't see this one, but I have no issue with people going to see them.

Again, what is your point and your solution (besides proposing to send off anyone who questions you to a war zone)?
