Okay. This is what a victory feels like. Don't gloat but remember the feeling.

We stick together, keep optimistic, don't wilt under their bluster and we take little tiny steps in the direction that we want to travel.

Kudos to Harry Reid for keeping the troops in line in the Senate, Rep. Hoyer who provided us with one of the best videos ever in demanding to be heard while the House staff dissembled the Speakers desk, and the president who hung tough and put together an event today that kept pressure on.

And kudos to all here who kept the faith, but kept the heat on our rep's.

Well Done.

This isn't a "tear down the goal post" victory, but I would not oppose dropping pants and shooting a moon.

I can imagine that the tea partiers are going to turn their full force on any Repig who goes along with this. And that includes the Speaker.

Additionally, you can expect to hear the President's words about tax cuts being good for the economy parrotted back to him when it's time to let the Bush tax cuts expire.
