Better for morale to be up by seven than down by seven.

The Republican's only hope is for the economy to go back into recession. It's already May. We are probably out of the proverbial woods.

remain troubling.

He has moved in the right direction from last summer, but has not had his head consistently above 50% for quite a long time, and this is dangerous for an incumbent, especially in an election year.

He straddles the edge of an incumbent that wins reelection, and one that doesn't.

The president's job approval ratings are hardly "troubling." Gallup said today, that President Obama is in a good position for re-election. And, President Obama is the slight favorite to win re-election, partially because Mitt Romney is the crappiest republican nominee in decades.

incumbent president because he has had so much press. Mitt? Not so much support at this juncture. Bodes well for Obama.
