Sunday Talk Shows

Meet the Press
President Obama is poised for the general election fight having just made his fourth visit this year to battleground state Ohio. Can his message of fairness in the economy win the hearts and minds of independent voters across the country? Plus, in the wake of recent public relations disasters involving two government agencies, how will the president battle the possible perceptions that government has run amok? We’ll talk with the president’s chief re-election strategist David Axelrod this Sunday.

A scandal in the Secret Service combined with new reports of lavish spending by government employees caused a firestorm this week. We’ll get the latest on the investigations into these incidents with two top Republicans who head the committees charged with oversight responsibilities: Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Rep. Darrell Issa , and Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, Rep. Peter King

New polling shows what looks to be a tightening race between President Obama and Mitt Romney as both candidates took jabs at each other this week. As the country begins to weigh their choices, what kind of president do the American people want and how do Obama and Romney size up? Our roundtable weighs in: the Washington Post’s EJ Dionne; the New York Times’ David Brooks and Helene Cooper; and NBC’s Chuck Todd

ABC This Week
As more details emerge in the explosive Secret Service scandal, Sen. Susan Collins and Rep. Carolyn Maloney

With two supervisors and an agent already ousted over the prostitution scandal in Colombia, how many more will face discipline? Was President Obama ever at risk because of the agents' behavior? And as the investigation continues, will there be any political fallout? George Stephanopoulos asks Sen. Susan Collins and Rep. Carolyn Maloney, Sunday on "This Week."

Then, the general election battle heats up, with President Obama and Mitt Romney neck-and-neck in the latest polls. But is the campaign already going to the dogs, with attacks over Romney and Obama's canine history? And will countless denials this week by possible vice presidential candidates change the Romney veepstakes speculation?

Our powerhouse roundtable weighs in on all the week's politics, with Keith Olbermann, ABC News' George Will, political strategist and ABC News contributor Donna Brazile, political strategist and ABC News political analyst Matthew Dowd, and Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan

CBS Face The Nation Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT);

CNN State of The Union
David Axelrod is the president’s top campaign strategist, and he is our guest this Sunday on State of the Union. I’ll ask him if the Secret Service scandal will distract from the President’s re-election message, and what the latest economic warning signs mean for the President’s chances in November.

We also have an exclusive interview with Florida’s Republican Senator Marco Rubio. We’ll talk about his party’s outreach to the Hispanic community and speculation that he might be Mitt Romney’s pick for Vice President.

Rep. Elijah Cummings will be here to give us the latest developments in the Secret Service prostitution scandal. He’s the ranking democrat on the House Oversight and Government Reform committee, and although they’re letting the Secret Service take the lead on the investigation, they DO want answers.

We’ll round out the show with CNN’s Senior Congressional Reporter Dana Bash and Jeff Zeleny of the New York Times
