And, if not, is there a pool on which state gets to claim firsties?
I'll put in a spot on Pennsylvania. Texas and Florida nutballs come and go, but there's a respectably steady supply of them in PA.

(62,444 posts)And holidays have their unique constellation of mayhem - fireworks injuries on July 4; and all manner of drunken mayhem on New Year's.
The "family get together" aspect of Thanksgiving is not meant to be exclusive of any particular range of dysfunction of the family in question.

The lyrics to the songbird's melodious trill go something like this:
"Stay out of my territory or I'll PECK YOUR GODDAMNED EYES OUT!"
(62,444 posts)No wonder it looks like a lifeless apocalyptic wasteland around here today.
Heh, I should run down to my neighbor's house and ask him if he could help me move some drywall for about a half hour or so... He'd give me that same look I got when I had him pick up my newspapers for a week and when I came back he said, "There's no sports section in that newspaper of yours."

(111,972 posts)Authorities have arrested a man accused of killing two people and wounding three others Thursday night in a trailer park off of County Road 934 in Weir, a small town in central Williamson County.
Jose Hernandez Benitez, 24, was arrested Friday in Caldwell County, where he fled after the shooting, said Fred Thomas, a spokesman for the Williamson County Sheriffs Office. Benitez was transported to the Williamson County Jail on murder charges.

FWIW, I used to drive through Weir, Texas frequently in the 80s and 90s since it is about 5 miles away from the university I attended in Georgetown, Texas. It was on the "rolling route" to get away from campus for drinking and smoking. The town had about 300 people, but has grown significantly since I graduated as the overflow from Austin reaches out to the rural areas.
