In a trial a defense attorney and a prosecutor would be the advocates.

The defense attorney would try to minimize the appearance of guilt and the prosecutor would try to maximize it.

The grand jury failed because of a prosecutor functioning as a defense attorney. A trial with a prosecutor functioning as a defense attorney would have exactly the same outcome.

Just because illegal/abusive behavior is recorded, it doesn't mean it will be prosecuted. See the Rodney King beating video for proof. Even if Wilson had been wearing a camera which showed him gunning Brown down as he was on his knees begging for his life and Wilson paused to get his Klan robe on, the DA still would have set the grand jury up to acquit.
