Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin Slams President Obama For ‘Giving American People The Middle Finger’

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin believes President Barack Obama is giving Americans the middle finger by taking executive action on immigration. Speaking before Obama’s Thursday night address, the former 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee said in a video on SarahPalinChannel.com that the president is endangering the nation. “This is the epitome of giving the American people the middle finger. He’s endangering our nation by doing this,” Palin stated.

Obama’s executive actions are designed to make nearly 5 million immigrants illegally in the United States eligible for protection from deportation and for work permits. It would mainly cover parents of U.S. citizens and of legal residents as long as the parents have been in the U.S. for five years or more. But Obama’s actions also would change enforcement priorities by emphasizing the deportation of new illegal arrivals and criminals.

“Illegal immigration could move from a flood to a tsunami and our swamped Border Patrol officials will be utterly unable to manage the crisis as they are already telling the powers-that-be,” Palin said. Palin added that the newly elected Republican Congress does not have a responsibility to work with Obama to move his agenda forward. “We voted this Congress in to stop Obama,” Palin said. “The GOP majority has no obligation, no responsibility, to work with Obama to usher in more of his agenda to fundamentally transform America. No, we voted to stop Obama.” Obama’s decision to bypass Congress with his directives infuriated Republicans, who have accused him of vastly exceeding his authority.
