Chris Christie has seen Springsteen play 127 times.

127 times. And apparently nothing that Bruce has ever sung about has managed to sink through all those layers of bone surrounding Christie's tiny little pea brain.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie insists he was listening — not sleeping — during a recent Bruce Springsteen concert in New York City.

Christie says a fan snapped a photo of him with head back and eyes closed during the show at Madison Square Garden one day after returning from the Middle East. The governor says The New York Post incorrectly concluded that he had dozed off.

Christie told reporters Thursday that actually he simply leaned back and shut his eyes to listen to the spiritual-sounding song "Rocky Ground" when the picture was taken.

The governor is a mega-fan who has attended 127 Springsteen concerts, though he and Springsteen seldom agree politically.

He probably still thinks "Born In The U.S.A" is an upbeat, patriotic anthem.

"Democrat" and "right wing" are not mutually exclusive. (See: Zell Miller.)

Bruce's songs didn't resonate to Christie as reflected in his policies and his condemnations of working people, public employees, teachers, Democrats in New Jersey.

I think Dream Theater might be second with 7 (and seeing Jordan Ruddess play a solo show). 127 though is like unheard of.

The most within my own circle is 75. A measly 13 for me, in case you're wondering.

I went to my first Phish show last year (amazing) and my friend and I met some hardcore Phish fans and I think the most anyone had seen them was in 20 - 25 range.
