Robert Murray CEO of Murray Energy to host a

$2500 a plate dinner in Wheeling, WV for Mit Rmoney on May 3, 2012. Remember Robert Murray was the owner of the Grandall Canyon Mine in Utah where 9 miners were killed in 2007. He blamed the cave-in on an earth quake, but government seismologists said the readings were the cave-in itself not an earth quake. In 2008 MSHA levied the highest fine ever $1.85 million on the mine for safety violations. Last year Murray sponsored a $2500 a plate dinner for Rick Perry attended by about 450, that fell through so now he is buying Rmoney.

2. I can't imagine 450 people in Wheeling having $2500 for a dinner

I bet Murray is buying a lot of those dinners himself.

3. Actually the producers are the miners and the parasites are the owners.

I still say Don Blankenship (owner of Massey Energy - who own the mine that collapsed in West Virginia) is one of the most vile, disgusting human beings alive. He cooks the safety books and keeps the real ones hidden - and all the money he makes goes to buying politicians to keep the shit he gets away with legal. I remember last year there was a debate between him and RFK Jr., and Kennedy asked him if he could do his daily job without doing something illegal, and he answered no. Shocking, I know. The real scumbags in this world are people like Blankenship - the upper 1% criminals.

disgusting human being alive. I will say one thing when it comes to money he will screw anyone. The last several months he has had an argument going with the shale gas drillers. He is trying to shake down the drilling companies claiming they can't drill wells where he owns coal leases.

8. "They will plunder willy-nilly"

As Idris Davies wrote and Pete Seeger (and the Byrds) sang.

I can imagine a protest at this fundraiser with the singing of 'The Bells of Rhymney' updated to 'The Bells of Grandall Canyon.' Or a different version, 'The Bells of Romney,' with appropriate lyrics.

BELLS OF RHYMNEY

Oh what will you give me?
Say the sad bells of Rhymney.
Is there hope for the future?
Cry the brown bells of Merthyr.
Who made the mine owner?
Say the black bells of Rhondda.
And who robbed the miner?
Cry the grim bells of Blaina.

They will plunder will-nilly,
Cry the bells of Caerphilly.
They have fangs, they have teeth,
Shout the loud bells of Neath.
Even God is uneasy,
Say the moist bells of Swansea.
And what will you give me?
Say the sad bells of Rhymney.

Throw the vandals in court,
Say the bells of Newport.
All will be well if, if, if,
Cry the green bells of Cardiff.
Why so worried, sisters why?
Sang the silver bells of Wye.
And what will you give me?
Say the sad bells of Rhymney?

9. I think it takes a special, rare, breed of douchebag to be a mine owner.

Blankenship is a douche, Murray is a douche, it goes with the territory. When the revolution comes I won't want to be in their shoes for anything.
