Alaska has been overrun by looting lying Republicans, and this is our chance to take them out

National Guard documents detail chronic misconduct among recruiting leaders
http://www.adn.com/article/20141018/national-guard-documents-detail-chronic-misconduct-among-recruiting-leaders

Officers in the battalion had sex with other soldiers and civilians on the chairs and desks of their recruiting offices, in their government cars, in the woods near Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and in the RVs they brought to official events, the reports say.

The files described bullying of civilians by guard officers. Four women said that when they attended Dimond High School in Anchorage, they resisted a guard recruiter who tried to give them alcohol. One former student described what sounded like an attempt by the officer to groom her for sex. She said she had to jump from the recruiter’s car when he tried to take her home, calling her father for help from a stranger’s phone.

Three alleged offenders -- Sgt. 1st Class Shannon Tallant and Master Sgts. John Nieves and Jarrett Carson -- were known in the battalion as the “Three-Headed Monster,” according to one of the guard investigators, Lt. Col. Jane Wawersik.

“It was explained that those three recruiters were seemingly untouchable and that attempts to report their misconduct to Command Sgt. Maj. (Clinton) Brown or Lt. Col. Lawendowski were either ignored or resulted in negative repercussions for the recruiter reporting the misconduct,” Wawersik wrote in her 15-6 investigation report on Tallant.

Tallant, now 40, had an ongoing sexual relationship with a soldier he recruited into the guard, Wawersik wrote in 2013. Both were married to others at first, the woman to a sergeant in the guard.

At the Arctic Man competition in 2008, a guard private who was celebrating her 19th birthday got throwing-up drunk. When she awoke, she was in bed in an RV with Tallant and his soldier girlfriend, and all three were having sex, the report said. The girlfriend’s sergeant husband was in the RV parked in the next spot.

• The sister of a soldier recruited by Nieves out of East High School in Anchorage said she feared Nieves had the power to kick her brother out of the guard. She said she had an unwanted sexual encounter with him.

The Governor ignored all of this even though he started a 'choose respect' campaign to fight sexual assualt

and Senate candidate Sullivan was the one supposed to be prosecuting but he was removed from the job

The day before Parnell met with National Guard chaplains who were sounding alarms about problems with sexual assault and fraud in the Alaska Guard, he and Sullivan talked by phone. As the state’s top law enforcement officer, Dan Sullivan did nothing to investigate the scandal.

If this becomes a national scandal this will look very bad for Republican Koch plant Sullivan and help keep Democrat Mark Begich in the Senate.

The entire alaska legislature that has been openly working for oil companies, who tried to insult gay people who love each other as being 'perverted', ignored these obvious perversions in the national guard.

McGuire’s desire to get to the bottom of what went wrong is the latest call for action on repairing the fractured morale and trust within the guard, an issue that has become highly politicized. Gov. Sean Parnell, commander in chief of the Alaska National Guard, is running for re-election. Seizing on the leadership failings found within the guard, the Alaska Democratic Party and other critics have placed blame for the mess squarely on Parnell.

In fall 2011, Rick Cavens, a chaplain with the Alaska Air National Guard, said he reached out to Rep. Dan Saddler, R-Eagle River, for help. The two crossed paths at a stand-down event for troubled vets in Anchorage.

Cavens thought Saddler, who sits as co-chair of the Joint Armed Services Committee and serves on the House Special Committee on Military and Veterans’ Affairs and is also on the budget subcommittee for the Department of Military & Veteran Affairs, might be able to do something.

He said he’d had a long conversation with Saddler at the stand-down event. Saddler promised to look into it but “did nothing,” Cavens said.

Saddler said he doesn’t recall the conversation

These people are horrible, sexual assault enablers. First they force us to allow recruiters into the schools, then it turns out they are giving kids alcohol, drugs and sexually assaulting them all while the government covers it up.

I lived in Alaska a long time ago, and my oldest son still lives there, so I like to pay attention to what goes on.

And in case you're wondering, my son is a loyal Democratic voter - I raised him right!

for having sex with underage girls. We live in Indiana and this happened about ten years ago.

Sadly, I think this happens in a lot of places. Whether they are charged and prosecuted is a different story.

The entire alaska legislature that has been openly working for oil companies...

Since citizens of Alaska get royalties (or whatever they call them) annually, how many agree with the state legislature doing just that?

Is the oil popular among the groups that vote, even though some voters really hate what the oil industry has been doing to AK?

I grew up around oil, and those who are in the biz or have jobs dependent on the businesses that serve the industry, will vote for what they consider to be 'normal' and that means the oily representatives.

Hoping that there are a great many Alaskans who are fed up with corruption and will vote them out.

6. people were very angry about the 2 Billion giveaway, a referendum was quickly started to repeal

There was a vote in August and the referendum lost....so they say.

Popular opinion was for repeal.

But Alaska is prone to election fraud

Want Mark Begich to Win the Alaska Senate Seat? In Alaska, there is 200% voter turnout!
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10025659265

and 2 billion per year is a lot of money to just leave up to a vote of the people

we are fed up alright, but if it only costs them $20,000 to pay some tech guy to hack the election, who the heck cares?

That is why I hope this story blows up so much so they cannot deny that Parnell, and Sullivan are so unpopular, no way in hell they can really win.

11. I think it is happening in every state

I'm even starting to think Ebola is a distraction.

The republicans, the ones that fucked everything up, started wars for no reason, created a huge debt giving tax cuts during wars that they then blamed on poor people...we are supposed to believe Americans are turning to them to fix the country.

Does. Not. Compute.

I think the media are purposely pushing the dumbest among us, reality show bullshit, making us appear dumber than we are.

Then we'll just accept stolen elections because we think everyone else must be really freaking stupid.

But in reality, even in Red State Alaska...people are starting to think.

And no one thinks electing more hypocritical fundie backwards nutjobs will help the country.
