'I didn't think it was that bad until I walked down my street and everything is gone,' said Tucker, 49. 'I don't know what to do. I don't know where to go. I've seen it on TV, but when it happens to you it is unreal. I just feel lost.'

by a "possible tornado".

I suppose leaving room for the chance that 75% of the town blew up their homes for the insurance.....

It's leaving open the possibility that extremely strong straight-line winds did the damage.

Although, in the end no doubt it will be a verified tornado.

I can remember, about fifty years ago, when there was a report of a tornado in western New York State, where I lived at the time. All the weather experts said, Nope, not possible, tornadoes don't happen here. Turns out the experts were wrong, and the people who saw the funnel cloud with their own eyes were correct.

For a long time it was thought that tornadoes only occurred in the Great Plains, but since then tornadoes have been recorded in at least all of the 48 original states. I'm simply not certain about Alaska and Hawaii. But when people didn't think that tornadoes could happen somewhere, they simply dismissed the reports of them.

I mean, what are the chances a storm would knock out power before a tornado arrived? Obviously, the town was just bleeding the residents dry with all those unnecessary taxes.
