Texts from Hillary’ creator: Always loved ‘the idea of powerful women texting each other’

Stacy Lamb and Adam Smith told Jennifer Granholm on Current’s the War Room Friday about how the genesis of their wildly popular Texts from Hillary meme was thought up at the bar.

Lamb told Granholm that they knew they had a hit when Buzzfeed called it the best meme of the year with only four posts up.

When Granholm asked Smith if he intended to make Hillary Clinton hip, he responded, “I have always loved the idea of powerful women texting each other. I thought that maybe I was the only one, and I guess that’s just not the case.”

Lamb said meeting with Hillary after the meme made a splash “was so much fun.”

Hillary is hard working and well prepared at any meeting, but she's also very funny. She has a a wicked sense of humor and a knack for imitating people's speech pattern. When she does Bill's Southern drawl she has people crying in laughter. What's endearing is that she has a self deprecating sense of humor and doesn't take herself too seriously.
