Reminds me of Jon Stewart.

He was truly one of our greatest.

(40,416 posts)4. Carlin should have been co-anchor with Jon Stewart
The two of them would be even more devastating.
My favorite of Jon Stewart was when he set aside the comedian hat and asked CNN, on the set of Crossfire
STEWART: And I wanted to -- I felt that that wasn't fair and I should come here and tell you that I don't -- it's not so much that it's bad, as it's hurting America.
...
STEWART: Stop, stop, stop, stop hurting America.

STEWART: Stop, stop, stop, stop hurting America.
Crossfire was gone by the end of the next January, in part, if not substantially because of Jon Stewart's utter take down. CNN thought they would have an easy half-hour with a comedian from Comedy Central, and they got a seriously engaged person who simultaneously loves this country and who has seen exactly what it has become. Mencken could not have done it better.
Google it, watch, and be awed!

(17,621 posts)7. I long ago lost count . . .
Of the number of times I've seen Jon Stewart ask his guests more intelligent questions than any pundit. He -- like George Carlin -- is far more than just a comic.
