Introducing Discussionist: A new forum by the creators of DU

Nicolle Wallace has been chug-a-lugging the Romney MomGate Kool-Aid out of the BIG jug. WINNING!

"The Romney campaign has handled this brilliantly and kudos to them," said Nicolle Wallace, a former adviser to John McCain and George W. Bush.

Wallace said "Ann Romney was able to connect in an instant to every woman in the country, with every woman in the country" by defending her decision to raise five boys.

"It's a win in every regard for the Republicans," she added.

As someone who has "enjoyed the view from under the bus myself," Wallace expressed sympathy for Rosen for the heat she took from people in her own party over what Wallace called an "unfortunate phrase." It's worth noting here that Rosen made clear almost immediately after the comment that she was supportive of stay-at-home moms - but that didn't stop her fellow Democrats, including the president, from denouncing her comments with little to no qualification.

2. Actually Nicolle,

as a woman and a stay at home mom, I did not connect to Ann Romney. And I think you are full of shit.

3. I doubt many women would connect with her when they find out she was not typical stay at home mom

Considering most stay at home moms don't have a staff of help do the chores that most moms perform.

4. It will be a cold day in Hell when Ann "connects" with "every woman in the country."

Then again, as George Constanza said on Seinfeld, "Jerry, just remember, it's not a lie if you believe it."

5. Me neither. I have a very hard time connecting to a woman who most likely had cleaning help

and maybe a nanny to help her raise her kids. Its funny but I read here somewhere on Steff's Miller show that said she was Mrs Mittens nanny when she was a child. She said that Risen was right. Ms Mitt's never worked a day in her life. The nanny had to clean up after her and even take care of her horse. Your right she is full of bullshit. They aren't going to win this issue I don't think. The problem with republicans especially the men they think women are stupid. But we aren't stupid and have figured them out a long time ago. Yes the ecomony is important to us but so is health care. We need to be able to control our bodies when we want to have children or not. It isn't up to them and the religious right telling people what to do.

6. isn't it odd that Ann Romney's able to "connect" with every woman in the country

over her kids ...

but a mother grieving about her murdered son is "shilling for $$$ and attention"?

7. It kills me. It just frigging kills me.

Trayvon's mom has maintained an air of quiet dignity...I posted on DU yesterday regarding her appearance, with her attorney, on O'Reilly's show. He kept trying to push her buttons. A couple of times I thought she might lose it, but that never happened.

It's nice to have choices. It's great that Ann and Mitt Romney have enough money in the bank that she never has to go work in an office, or flip burgers, or wait tables, or...

I am really lookinf forward to the entire Romney family fading back into (relative) obscurity in November.

8. it must be tough to be a professional "Presidential Candidate's Wife" ...

what with her husband being a professional Presidential Candidate ... isn't that what he's been doing all this time? Using his inheritance to buy a Presidency?

9. To the best of my knowledge, since Bain Capital, that's ALL he's been doing.

Then again, as former president George W. Bush once said, Presidentin' is HARD work.

11. Ironic too is that Ann Romney's kids are between the ages of 33 to 41!

meaning that her job raising kids was done at least a decade ago.....
and that's if she was raising her last one while he was in college!

A decade of Empty nest does not a stay-at-home mother make......

10. I'll grant you all the women in the country who need elevators to store their cars, Nicole.

Beyond that, I have my doubts.

12. Ms. Nicole is showing herself to be quite the Pundit mediahoe.....

Sorry, but that's how she's coming across to me lately,
even if she didn't start out that way. Sad to see her descent.
