LONDON (Reuters) - Plans for a major rewriting of international tax rules unveiled on Tuesday could eliminate structures that have allowed companies like Google Inc <GOOGL.O> and Amazon.com Inc <AMZN.O> to shave billions of dollars off their tax bills.
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) announced a series of measures that, if implemented by members, could stop companies from employing many commonly-used practices to shift profits into tax havens.

I think it's a hopeful sign that this is even being discussed openly.

big guys to skirt the rules, than say, look, see, we cleaned it up. Probably just more SOS BS. I have to really justify on my tax returns a few dollars here to charity, a gift, etc. ... these guys skirt millions upon millions. I get audited, these guys get a free pass, just business, by the old boys' money club for billions.
