My impressions of George Zimmerman

The fact that an African American Friend whom he worked with came out to defend him leads me to believe that he is not an out and out racist. What I do see is a very tribal minded person who sees society in terms of groups of people opposing one another, to be precise black vs non black. When he saw young Trevon just walking down the street, something clicked in his head. There is one of those other people; he is not going to get away. This harmful societal view is reinforced by right wing radio and Fox News. As our society gets more and more diverse and more accepting of it, these people are going to become more and more paranoid.

They may have met only a few times, if even that. Either he was looking for his 15 minutes of fame, or the Zimmcamp hired him as "proof" Z wasnt racist. ODonnell pretty much shredded him to pieces, and hes made no appearances since.

do much to reinforce the image of us vs them instilling their viewers with fear of the "other."

No FOX, no gun this tragedy would not have happened.
