US Presidential election- The Ultimate unReality Show

Wouldn't it be nice if there could be some reality injected into the process:

No advisers
No "campaign bus/plane/photo ops"
No smart phone (they might try to access some stashed loot in the Caymans)

Drop the candidates into any underprivileged area. Give them the prevailing unemployment check..maybe a puny bank account with a couple of hundred bucks in it.

Oh..and NO medical insurance card
No car

Perhaps there could be an apartment provided for them, but just what the average poor person has access to......roaches and all

Two months should make an impression on them

I know that we will always have rich people running for office..that's a given.. but far too many of them are way too removed from anything even remotely connected to "real people", and most of them actually believe their own rhetoric.

The title might be :

So You Wannabe the Prez?"

Btw, in 2007 or 2008 Obama spent the day at the home of an elderly man filing in for the man's caregiver.
Obama mopped the floor, changed the bed sheets, make him lunch, etc. - everything the caregiver normally does.

There used to be a video online back then documenting how the day went, but I don't know where it is anymore.
