Since the election is 7 months away, I just wanted to see what everyone here thinks about the president's place in history just judging by his first term. To me, he's some where in between transformational and transactional. He was definately transformational in terms of appearance being the first black president and being the first northerner and senator to win the office since JFK. In terms of policy, HCR is a histroic achievement even if it doesn't go far enough and may get overturned in court. He's been very transactional in terms of the military and ending the wars as well as working with/against congress. But then again on the other hand he has stopped the bleeding in the economy that was present on his first day in office.
What do you think?
