I propose a humanitarian mission to help a third-world website

Would the administrators of Democratic Underground be willing to donate 2002 message-threading technology to Free Republic?

I'm certain that it would help me to better understand their discussions. And maybe it would even help the freepers to understand that they are surrounded by a bunch of idiots.
