Watch Nikki Haley on teevee. (please)Link to clip postedLast edited Fri Apr 6, 2012, 06:47 AM USA/ET - Edit history (1)
I don't mean for a long time. The Hague would rule that as torture.
I want to know what people think. I am not talking about what she says. I am talking about how she presents herself and what people see. Remember that visuals are very powerful. Her demeanor, looks, dress, and presentation makes a difference. Please don't get caught up in her stupid ideas. It's the same shite. What would you think of her if she was presenting bland propositions? In SC, people had no idea what a complete loon she was. I am talking about her constant lying and absolutely bizarre political moves. That has baffled everybody, and she has alienated 98% of the state. That by itself is an incredible feat. 1. it seemed to me that even Stephen Colbert was kind of seduced by her the other night
|
He went easier on her than I expected.

If even Colbert can be seduced a little, imagine her effect on others who aren't skeptics. ![]() |

Last edited Fri Apr 6, 2012, 06:23 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1) Her parents were only allowed "$8.00" when immigrating from India? Well, I guess that means she can lie without batting an eye lash.
In fact, I bet I know why Bubba voted for her. She's put together to guarantee anything .... regardless if she could come through. There must be something with berber material and suits that these women wear to call you to embrace them, when the truth is, most would be anxious to get rug burn over them. |

5. My first impression is that
|
she is the GOP's new "game changer". She ticks all the right boxes and speaks convincingly (she's more polished than Palin).

7. And first impressions are very important.
|
She also doesn't use the 'you betcha' although I know she can drop colloquilisms when she wants to.

16. True, she is more polished than Palin...
|
But, then, how far do you have to go for THAT?

6. She lays it out like a used-car salesman. On women's concerns about contraception, birth control,
|
& abortion, women just need to ask Romney & . . . he'll give them his answer.

8. But he'll give a different answer each time.
|
But waitaminute, isn't Romney on the trail campaign trail, isn't he meant to tell everyone his positions on those topics and not have them teased out of him?

9. I think she deserves an Emmy for that performance.
|
Best Modern Portrayal of Elmer Gantry By A Female Performer.
I think she's angling for Rmoney's VP slot. I have been referring to her as "Sarah, Jr." from the start. Got to wonder if they're really going to make that same mistake again. |

10. It's the third time I've heard her refer to her high heels as weapons.
|
And I've only seen her speak 3 times.
I decided that John Edwards was a fake after listening to him say "Ma daddy was ah mill worker" EVERY TIME he opened his pandering mouth. Maybe it's a "South Carolina" thing to repeat "folksy" shit over and over again and expect it to sound fresh. And Haley only got in because of Sanford backlash. I think Sanford's ex-wife could have kicked her ass, with or without heels. |

Too tense, or else she is in pain. I don't think politics is her forte.

If this is how she always appears, it's amazing she ever won an election.

17. After making it half-way through Wolf's interview (pre-barfing)
|
I now realize how practiced she is in red herrings and avoid the answer without missing a beat. Also, the hand clenching and teeth readiness... really practiced and ready to jump into the ring.
I'm sure she wets her bed thinking of the veep position... ooohh there's the berber rug burn material. I bet that polled high on the list of CNN bubbas! |
