(2,674 posts)I have been getting chemo and really feeling bad. Usually my Winnie will stay in the living room with my husband during the day, but when I lay down, she is right there curled up with me to give me comfort. So is my little sweet cat, Callie. Both these sweet animals are rescues and are both neutered. Animals bring so much joy to your life.

(4,959 posts)I have one of those!! His coat is more fox red but he's got the pink nose and lighter eyes...
Scuba
(53,475 posts)Not all her sibs had pink noses, but some did. Her fur is very pale yellow, almost white at times. If you need some, let me know. She sheds enough to make a whole 'nother dog every week.
Cal Carpenter
(4,959 posts)And don't "conform" to the standards as far as the show-dog hoo-ha.
From wiki:
"A colouration known as "Dudley" is also possible. Dudleys are variously defined as yellow Labradors which have unpigmented (pink) noses (LRC), yellow with liver/chocolate pigmentation (AKC), or "flesh coloured" in addition to having the same colour around the rims of the eye, rather than having black or dark brown pigmentation" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Labrador_Retriever
If you google "dudley lab" and click on images you'll see all sorts of pink lab noses. Sometimes a regular lab's dark nose will fade, but given the light pigment around your dog's eyes, I think you may have a dudley.
Mine looks a lot like this one (hyperlink so I hope it works)
As for the spare fur, no thanks, we've got plenty

(64,995 posts)A particularly large one. Vet is impressed by his condition (from the side his stomach is nearly 4 inches higher than his chest) and he weighs 105. Heavy, not fat.
He's three and as i'm sure you know, he's not grown up yet. Labs take forever to grow up.

(81,220 posts)We had a cat that absolutely mastered this pesky, twitchy, crazy skitzo shepherd we had once. That dog terrorized everybody - but the cat. The dog was terrified of the cat. They had ONE run-in. That's all it took. Dog attempted to bully cat. Cat got him smack-dab on the nose. All we saw when the noise subsided was this little bead of blood from where Ernie hooked the dog. That dog bowed and scraped to the cat from then on. We titled Ernie "World's Greatest Dog Trainer"!

Unfortunately she was raised by wolves, so she isn't the greatest anything. Maybe most destructive and quite cute, but just not as cool as my first two dogs, the worlds sweetest, Mitzi, and her son Blake (son of Boomer). Mitzi she just loved everybody, especially people she had met before.

(31,382 posts)It makes me so mad when owners don't restrain their mean dogs.
My Snowy has been attacked--twice--by the same damn pit bull mix in our neighborhood
while we were out walking and the dog just charged her from out of its yard. The first time,
I warned the neighbor I'd sic Animal Control on her...and the second time I did. Fortunately,
Snowy was never bitten (and neither was I) because I went alpha on that dog--screaming
and kicking at it.

went with me to Florida in January 2013. So, she's been in only 4 states with us.
