Democrats as a whole are pretty thrilled with the House Republican decision to pass a second version of Rep. Paul Ryan's (R-WI) budget plan. But progressive candidates -- seeking to draw a clear distinction with their GOP opponents and generally be known as the group standing in the way of cuts to entitlement programs -- are perhaps the most excited Democrats of all.
Progressives have said again and again that a fight over entitelments is the best way they can think of to energize the base as well as recruit new voters. The Progressive Change Campaign Committee shows what that process looks like in a new video posted Wednesday. The clip shows progressive candidates nationwide attacking the Ryan Budget and using it to build support with seniors.

(53,661 posts)Never had a chance by nature of severe disabilities. They are the ones who are going to be tossed out of long term care and die in situations that would violate animal abuse laws. Same as the elderly who did work, but can't any longer. Medicare is not their lifeline. Medicaid is.
I've worked with these folks, and what the Ayn Rand loving Paul Ryan and the GOP wants is murder, plain and simple, of people that never did them any harm.
This from the party claiming to love the helpless, innocent unborn, but will end the lives of the helpless, innocent born because they are incapable of being cannon fodder and dying for their profits.
