Time for all of you to make a decision.
I know after Rachel I am turning on to Current. Yup, I like Keith, but ESPN, MSNBC and now Current, I have to conclude part of the problem IS Keith.
To each it's own I guess.

(20,606 posts)This OP was needed as no one has mentioned Keith or Current TV whatsoever.
Very informative!

I used to dedicatedly watch Keith, on MSNBC. I tried a few times when he went to Current. Please convince me to watch him again.
Thanks.

(16,399 posts)Immense talent and an even bigger ego. The fact that there are people here tripping over themselves to defend the guy AGAIN shows that you can fool some of the people all of the time.

Keith is difficult but if promises were made and not kept, then he does have the right to complain.
The hard part is that KO is an excellent host and he sure stood up the the ReTHUGS when others weren't brave enough.

(154,021 posts)I am not even counting Fox, that be four, tells me he has some issues and needs to look for solutions to them. This is probably the end of the line on tv for him. He should think of Sirius, and his own show.

(81,125 posts)He was putting Current on the map - which is what progressives everywhere have needed! Our pushback against Pox Noise, since MSNBC feigns progressive programming and only delivers four nights a week and partially on Fridays. And otherwise, daytime is an unruly hodgepodge with far too many republi-CONs getting far too much face time, and then prison shit almost constantly all weekend. How is THAT serving the much neglected progressive audience?

(21,925 posts)I worked in another area of show business for awhile in the movie industry on the business side after I graduated from the UCLA film school. Finding someone without a gigantic ego is virtually impossible. It's an asshole breeding ground where screwing people over seems to be the norm. I'm sorry but I'm not going to side with the "suits" and I tend to think the "talent" should get every consideration as there would be nothing without them and they're usually on the short end of the stick. In the case of Keith, I don't know the details of his gripes but it could be that he just doesn't take shit from anyone. I walked out of four different associate attorney positions at law firms over the years because I just wasn't going to be screwed. I'm like that.

(11,101 posts)How tough are some graphics or even a window or something? Despite the content it still looked like public access cable. I'm assuming that wasn't his idea.

(81,125 posts)They didn't have a few extra bucks to spend on a backdrop or something? And they're trying to put themselves on the map as a legitimate news/opinion cable network? And they had NOTHING in terms of audio quality. WTF? Didn't they have at least a couple of engineers over there? We always had to pounce on the volume control as soon as "Countdown" was over, because whatever program we switched to afterwards was so loud that it almost blew our windows out.
