They say their plan is to remain assembled in DC until he leaves office.

So, they may just have to tough it out until January 20, 2017.

It's the only reason why they've garnered themselves "credibility" in the eyes of the American populace. It's because they're given that status by our so-called fourth estate, and for no other reason.
