because Adam sinned, he passed his guilt onto all of us, and because we aren't worthy enough to atone for that sin, Jesus must come and atone for us. We then have to give him honor so that's passed onto God. So we really have nothing to do with this. You can sin because that's all your equipped to do. You just have to believe in Jesus. How to believe? Well, you must have Grace to do this? Where does one get this Grace? Well, God gives it to you. It seems we're just middle-men in this ongoing divine transaction between God and himself.

So one need not sin; one has always already always been sinning.

***NB: the preceding soteriological narrative is found only in Saint Anselm, Luther, somewhat in Aquinas, and on steroids in Calvin.
