MSNBC just played the audio clip, an interview with Zimmerman's attorney.
Trayvon's family is saying that the video proves Zimmerman wasn't "beaten and bloody" when taken into custody.
Zimmerman's attorney says the video is "very grainy" so you can't see his injuries.

(30,439 posts)Laughable.
Zimmerman and his lawyers pretty much claimed that Trayvon beat him to a pulp and he had no choice but to shoot Trayvon.

(8,492 posts)...he could have hit his head getting into the police car. There's still no blood. He still looks damned healthy for someone who just had the crap beat outta him.

(26,355 posts)If the graininess was enough to cover up his injuries, I'd say he wasn't particularly injured.
Certainly, a broken nose or a black eye or even cuts and abrasions would be visible - the video's fairly high quality.

(1,532 posts)took detailed photographs to document the injuries that led Zimmerman to shoot a 17 year old in "self-defense". Right?
Funny how we haven't seen those pics. Seems like the police would have publicized them by now.

(36,437 posts)Shot of his face, his nose, his disastrously lacerated scalp, all of it.
Or did they just hand back the gun of a guy who just killed a kid and send him on his way?

(7,429 posts)That's right - there are none!!
alcibiades_mystery
(36,437 posts)That's not a very grainy video. It's clear enough.

(81,209 posts)Zimmerman's nose looked nice and straight, no blood - ANYWHERE, no crookedness, no nothing.
What about the wet shirt all covered with grass? Didn't see anything. Didn't see any fabric of his clothing that looked wet or messed up. Where was this? Was the grass just mowed and the clippings not carried away? You'd have stray blades of grass loosening and shedding off him here and there all over the place. None. Where were signs of scuffle on him. Nothing disheveled in the least! Why would he be able to walk upright and with a regular, normal gait after having been in a scuffle like the kind that's been described - wouldn't he be limping a little, or walking with some delicacy? Or maybe a bit bent over or favoring one side or other? Hell, a single workout at my old kickboxing class routinely left me a hobbling pile of wreckage afterwards! Zimmerman looked like he was strolling over to get a cup of coffee across the street.
Seemed pretty damn clear to me, looking carefully at the video I saw. And yeah, there's nothing on the back of his head but what little hair was left after a buzz cut. Seems to me with extremely short hair, you'd be able to see signs of injury, scuffs, cuts, blood - no longer hair present to conceal it.

(5,032 posts)looked like until 4 years ago? Take a look at one of the Old Apple product announcements in 2001, those are around the same quality. Or watch a 70's sitcom on you tube....

(1,532 posts)not the coroner, who mentioned no signs of bruises or cuts. But is there a coroner's report somewhere?

(2,560 posts)wouldn't Zimmerman be considered as a victim of assault? Shouldn't the police/medicos have photographed his injuries as a matter of course? Even more so given that the "villain" had been killed?

Sorry, but even a grainy video would show a gray shirt soaked with blood. And if Zimmerman shot Trayvon in the chest at close range as he claims, his gray shirt would be stained bright red. It would be soaked, not just spattered, soaked.
Rex
(65,616 posts)would be that stupid and say such a thing! The footage is NOT grainy...even though the attorney WISHES it was, that is not the case!
Wow, this is getting so pathetic and sad for the Zimm team...I would crawl back under my rock or go back to chasing ambulances if it was me.

(9,933 posts)it swelled up like a strawberry right away and bled like crazy. A couple years ago my four year old fell off her bed and banged her nose (wasn't broken) but it bled like crazy! I took her to the emergency room and she had a visible bump on her nose right away that lasted for days. Based on these experiences I call TOTAL BULLSHIT. Zimmerman is a racist lying twat.

"Broken nose?"
His hair appears longer in this photo than the video from the police station. Could this one be from another arrest?
yardwork
(61,588 posts)Zimmerman hasn't been arrested for shooting Trayvon Martin. No recent mugshot. That one is from an arrest in 2005 for assaulting an officer.
KansDem
(28,498 posts)He is 'cuffed and brought into the police station. One DUer a few days ago commented that it is standard procedure to keep someone 'cuffed until the "booking." It that's the case, then why no mug shot? Aren't mugshots part of the booking process.
This is all so confusing...
yardwork
(61,588 posts)He was brought into the police station for questioning and then released without charges.
alcibiades_mystery
(36,437 posts)That's the problem.
He was brought to the station in cuffs, questioned, and released. The man wasn't booked, so there was no booking procedure. To be "booked" means to be processed into the jail on a specific charge. He was never charged with anything, never booked, never processed. End of story.
SoCalMusicLover
(3,194 posts)There is no mug shot, because there was no charge and no booking.
They brought him to the station in cuffs, and then after taking a statement, sent him on his way.
No photo, no fingerprints, they were too busy for that stuff.

(65,616 posts)people are missing or do not know. It clearly looks on camera like he is under arrest. Yet, not so. Also, I read a homicide detective wanted to charge him, but was told by higher up not to press the case.
A lot of rotten fish in that PD.
