Who is is Oscar Zoroaster Phadrig Isaac Norman Henkel Emmannuel Ambroise Diggs?

http://www.omaha.com/article/20140430/GO/140428639/1181#10-fictional-characters-you-didn-t-know-were-from-nebraska

The Oz books by L. Frank Baum (and the film) are of course more closely associated with Kansas, but the Wizard himself is an Omaha native. Sure, the Wizard tells Dorothy he's a Kansas man in the movie, but what of the writing on that hot air balloon? In the books, he's an Omaha guy. Another fun fact: The Wizard's full name is Oscar Zoroaster Phadrig Isaac Norman Henkel Emmannuel Ambroise Diggs. A common Nebraska name.

at least not in the first book.

But on page 160 the wizard starts his story with "I was born in Omaha ..."

In the book though, he manufactures a balloon rather than still having the one he came in.

"A common Nebraska name" must surely be meant as some sort of joke.

I am not sure if the fictional character hfojvt is "from" Nebraska or not. But he did graduate from UNL with an MA in 1990, to his everlasting regret.

... In the first place, I must tell you that I was born in Omaha, and my father, who was a politician, named me Oscar Zoraster Phadrig Isaac Norman Henkle Emmanuel Ambrose Diggs, Diggs being the last name because he could think of no more to go before it. Taken together, it was a dreadfully long name to weigh down a poor innocent child, and one of the hardest lessons I ever learned was to remember my own name. When I grew up I just called myself O.Z., because the other initials were P-I-N-H-E-A-D; and that spelled 'pinhead', which was a reflection on my intelligence.

The wizard says this on introducing himself to Ozma, in Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz, the forth book of the series.

having had the whole set in my store, and, in fact, still owning that set which never sold.

But I was not gonna try to scan/read all of them.

The article could have provided a cite, nicht wahr?

... having read these books numerous times, so I knew where to look. My kids loved them when they were little, and they are great for reading aloud to children.
