This sticker was pasted to a window at Atocha railway station in Madrid. It reads "No to labor reform and abusive lay-off, general strike".
As we explained earlier, Mariano Rajoy's government has brought in legislation that makes it easier for firms to lay off workers, cut their wages, or change their working conditions, if they can claim they need to boost their productivity.

(53,410 posts)1. It's probably only the beginning of some serious social upheavals in Europe.
Maybe the European Spring (like the Arab Spring).
It's much easier to imagine these upheavals now that we've seen a few. It's a whole new world happening out there, and I think any attempts at maintaining the status quo is doomed to fail this time. There's just too much of the rebellion happening all over.
