This guy is an environmental activist who made some fraudulent bids in a land auction. Does that deserve solitary confinement?

3. I don't know all the facts, but ...

I DO know that there are some very BAD people that prey upon other people in every federal prison in the country.

Depending on his "back down" and boxing skills, the Admin Control Unit might be to PROTECT him from other inmates.

5. He was in minimum security, thus he was with people similar to his temperament

and "criminal" past.

just uniformed. Having worked in a prison, I can tell you that minimum security prisons have plenty of sociopaths and predatory inmates.

In fact, many "seasoned" felons will tell you that they would rather be in higher security institutions because there is more security and less random violence than in minimum security institutions.

much less solitary, is a perversion of justice. When not one asshole from Wall Street has even been charged after all the hot mess they caused, the fact that Tim is in prison is unbelieveable.
