More 'Booms' Shake Wisconsin Town

About 60 residents of Clintonville, a city of 4,600 about 40 miles west of Green Bay, called authorities Tuesday night to report another loud boom that shook windows and rattled nerves.

It had been several days since the most recent reported boom and some people said Tuesday evening's rumble was louder than any that hit last week, said Lisa Kuss, city administrator. Overnight, residents reported three other noises, though not as loud as the first, she said.

Beginning Sunday, March 18, the town was hit by several nights of mysterious underground booms starting around 8 or 10 in the evening and continuing until around 6 a.m. The noises and rumblings were confined to one neighborhood in the city and disrupted sleep for many residents for two to three nights.

There were no injuries reported, but many residents worried about the effect on their foundations—there were a few reports of cracks.

City officials are selling shirts that say "I Survived the 1.5." City officials say the shirts don't make light of the situation, but celebrate how residents came together when they didn't know what was happening. Proceeds will likely go toward a beautification project in Clintonville.

... the Mayans said about the lead up to 12/21/12. Wouldn't we expect the polar shift/rise of underground aliens/continent detachment/gravitational pull to start with something like this???? Should I start maxing out my credit cards now?

Carl Anheuser: from 2012

Lama Rinpoche: Do not believe in something simply because you have heard it, Nima.

Nima: But great Lama, Tenzin is my brother. He works inside the tunnel, whee the ships are built. But where is in your wisdom, great Lama, if Tenzin is right... what if our world is indeed coming to an end? [Rinpoche responds by pouring tea into Tenzin's cup, causing it to overflow]

Nima: It is full, great Rinpoche. [after a moment, Rinpoche stops]

Lama Rinpoche: Like this cup, you are full of opinions and speculations. To see the light of wisdom... you first must empty your cup.
[Tosses Nima the truck's keys]

Lama Rinpoche: Be careful with the clutch... it tends to slip.

10. Hadn't heard about Montello perhaps it has something to do with the Niagra escarpment.

The Niagara Escarpment owes its prominence to both the resistance of the Silurian dolomite layers and the relative softness of the Ordovician and Devonian rocks on either side.

quite a drive from Montello (I grew up in that area).

Editing - not quite as far as I thought though - in terms of what could be happening underground.

Here is a map of Wisconsin counties. Clintonville is in Waupaca county and Montello is in Marquette county.

Buffalo lake, The Fox River... and fake waterfall for the "tourista."

"Gateway to Princeton." Heh.

The yellow line on escarpment map runs close to both...

yes I remember the waterfall! lol We were in both Princeton and Montello last summer (I was born in Ripon). I don't specifically remember Clintonville, but my cousin in Green Bay heard a boom one night last week. Something is certainly going on.
