(wardrobe from Don Johnson's closet, circa 1987)
Some of the economies that are starting to kick our butt, those people work hard, Bolling said. There arent labor laws, there arent minimum wages, theyre working harder than we are.
Thats what we should have no labor law and no minimum wage, co-host Bob Beckel countered. They work for a dollar a week.
Certainly hold them to a maximum of hours per week, for sure, Bolling clarified, not mentioning that such a limit would constitute a labor law.

The Good Ol' Days, according to FOX:
Bolling and Ailes say no second helping of porridge for you, Oliver Twist!
This is today's rightwing - revering dictators like Putin and envying the child labor, sweatshops and prison workforce the butchers of Beijing have.
But they'll still find a bunch of red(neck) state saps to nod in agreement because "conservative values," "freedumb" some some shit.
Media Matters has the video of Bolling's fascist fanboy moment: http://mediamatters.org/video/2014/04/15/foxs-bolling-we-should-emulate-china-with-no-la/198904
Bolling, BTW, has a net worth of $15 million

All you damn turn-of-the century West Virginia miners who went on strike and gave your lives in the mine wars for things like labor protections, safety rules and 40-hour work weeks - you screwed things up for us and let China win! Why couldn't you be happy with scrip, company stores, Pinkerton guards and mine explosions?
Same goes for you, Triangle Shirtwaist ingrates! You should have just been thankful the job creators let you work there!

This is boilerplate economic libertarianism. Bolling just isn't clever enough to effectively argue it.

(1,786 posts)Would feel different if there were not certain regulated standards in place for exits in case of fire or hanging the infrastructure in place over his head for a tv studio stage. If 300lbs of lighting fell on his ass he would certainly be singing a different tune.
