Until he appeared at this year's C-PAC bragging about being in the 1% I had not known he was a Wingnut/'Bagger. Even then I thought, well, maybe he's soft core in the Pat SAJAK low key way. But today I heard his commercial for something called "the anti-AARP, Generation America" and he's one Depends short of a Victoria JACKSON. He said that the is for "traditional values" and ran down the laundry list of "small government, low (no?) taxes, repeal of OBAMAcare." What a disappointment. By the bye, a DUer had an excellent framing, asking, "Why are there so many (Rethug) pundits with just the same opinion?!1"

(82,849 posts)I think it was in Spy magazine, and Blount had a semi-regular column (everything in Spy was semi-regular, including its publishing dates). One column he wrote about that vile human being and the television show he had at the time. Blount did a little review of what he'd seen, including that vile human being making fun of Robert Reich for his congenital birth defect that stunted his growth. But apparently the episode Blount watched had the vile human being running a clip of Chuck Woolery enthusiastically saying "I actually like" that vile human being! Blount wondered just how needy a person had to be to feature an endorsement from Chuck Woolery, who at the time was hosting "episodes" of The Love Connection in his basement.

(70,649 posts)Is "the vile human being" WOOLERY? "running a clip of ... WOOLERY"?
The "vile human being" is the fellow who was making fun of Sandra Fluke a couple of weeks ago, and whose radio show has lost so many advertisers recently. Chuck Woolery and that vile human being go back 20 years or more. Chuck Woolery may or may not be vile, but his good friend certainly is.
