GM shuts down assembly line after suicide at Flint truck plant

FLINT, MI -- General Motors says it has shut down the assembly line at its truck plant after an employee committed suicide there earlier today.

GM spokesman Tom Wickham said it's not known when production will resume at Flint Assembly and said grief counselors are available at the plant to talk with workers.

In a statement, GM said, "Tragically, an employee at GM’s Assembly plant in Flint, Michigan took his life this afternoon. No one else in the plant was injured. We’re working with local authorities as the incident is investigated. Our condolences and deepest sympathies go to the employee’s family and colleagues..."

3. Apparently it involved a gun and no other shots fired

4. I think "Joe" was hired by Chrystler, and not in Michigan

I can't imagine waiting until getting to work to do something like that. Unless, of course, it was work that drove him/her to do it.
