Delete everything now!!1 "Get out of US if you don't agree with me" pastor tries to erase his words

Greenwell Springs Baptist Church pastor Dennis Terry is now desperately trying to deny that he told those who disagree with his views that there is only one God and America was founded as a Christian nation that they should "get out!" of the country during an event at his church on Sunday featuring Rick Santorum.

Terry has been claiming that his words were taken out of context and misreported ... but we have the video that proves otherwise.

Now, you would think that if Terry really believed that we had taken his statements and presented them out of context, he'd be encouraging people to go and watch the original video in an effort to prove that . But that does not seem to be the case, as all of the videos from Sunday's night's event with Rick Santorum have now been removed from the Greenwell Springs Baptist Church's UStream archive.

On top of that, Greenwell Springs' Worship Minister Jeremy Dailey posted a message on his Facebook page yesterday asking that all church members "remove from Facebook and/or any other public site, any video showing footage from the Sunday Evening service of March 18, 2012".

But since we're all about context (in certain contexts), I'll take this opportunity to once again mention that Rev. Jeremiah Wright's thundering "God DAMN America" was in the context (there's that word again!) of talking about America's slave-holding past. Now, I don't know what the current fashion is in regards to slavery, but I certainly agree with Rev. Wright that it was a damnable institution and a shameful chapter of our past that we still haven't come to terms with.

Can a person get a context?

Or can lead to self delusion. The use of reason or religion can always bring some to a bad end. Human thought can be quite unreliable in that regard.

And you think that it can't happen here?

All these so-called 'Christians' have left is hate, intolerance, and fear.

They would kill all those not exactly like them in the name of their God.

If the theocrats ever got their way, this nation is finished.

I would consider it a slip of the tongue. But he repeated it several times, so I have to assume he doesn't know that plural subjects take plural verbs.

Of course, he sounds like an idiot even when he isn't mangling basic grammar.

(Osama bin Laden) during one of the debates ...

the White House scrubbed that entire day from the web site ... so that nobody could play the video of George W. Bush saying exactly that.

Along with the complicit "liberally-biased media" ... the "lbm" removed it from their files until well after the election.

Guess that "Terry" has hired the same people ...

A few days before Obama was inaugurated OxyRush stated in public that he wanted Obama to fail.

When the backlash started to flow in he denied he ever said it. And then he was shown the tapes.

These assclown RWers are luddites to the core.

For 60 years right wing plutocrats have used these monkey tricks to distract attention away from policy issues. Ignore the fact that we're letting the wealthy have a free lunch when it comes to taxes...LOOK Obama's not wearing a flag pin! John Kerry drinks GREEN TEA instead of coffee! He WINDSURFS instead of hunting. Obama "pals around with terrorists.."

While I think it's total bullshit that the infotainment people we have masquerading as journalists these days let them get away with this, turnabout is fair play. If these idiots have been hanging Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers and a couple of other ppl around Obama's neck, it's fair to hang Terry around Santorum's neck. Not that Santorum really NEEDS any help being painted as a right wing theocratic Nazi, but every little bit helps.

What we need to do now is ask the OTHER GOP candidates what they think of Terry's comments. Santorum can't possibly sustain any more damage in that department. Now it's time to hang Terry around the OTHER candidates' necks.

Get them to either RENOUNCE or SUPPORT his comments.

What hypocrisy! He's trying to cover up his tracks.

Hey, "Reverend," don't forget what the New Testament scriptures say about lying. You're sinning, buddy. (As a Christian, I'm embarrassed by the likes of you.) Take your hypocrisy and stick it where the sun don't shine.
