All politicians should follow this rule about speeches:

Abraham Lincoln used only 270 words in the Gettysburg Address.

All of your speeches should be approximately this length. If you can't concisely and believeably sum up your thoughts, then don't open your mouth.

Think of it as a Twitter rule for speeches.
