Former Rep. Bob Barr: Yes, I Am Serious About Impeaching Obama

CATHERINE THOMPSON – FEBRUARY 7, 2014, 10:46 AM EST

Former Rep. Bob Barr (R-GA), who led the charge to impeach former President Bill Clinton, told NBC's Chuck Todd on Friday that he also wasn't joking around about wanting to impeach President Barack Obama.

Barr is now running for Congress to replace Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-GA), who is vying for a U.S. Senate seat. Todd played audio of Barr saying he'd like to impeach Obama in the same way he impeached former President Bill Clinton.

"I was with some folks just recently and pulled out a file in my office, the house resolution, the house resolution that I introduced on Nov. 5 of 1997. That was the very first official inquiry of impeachment filed against Bill Clinton," Barr says in the recording of a radio appearance. "And what I did is I took that, took that document, figuratively kind of dusted it off, added a little bit of language to it, and darn if it doesn't sound pretty good with Barack Obama's name in there."

"Why even joke about impeachment as you did on that radio show?" Todd asked. "Is that the type of divisive politics you think that we need in Washington?"

"Chuck, I don't know what you're talking about," he responded. "That wasn't a joke. I was asked a question about impeachment, and I answered it very seriously."

Being half black is no longer a crime. However being a Grade A Fuckstick should be punishable by deportation to Dipshitistan.

Our current congresscritter (a car dealer, of all things) got voted in by simply swearing during the entire campaign that he would get Obamacare repealed and "ruled unconstitutional", however the hell that was supposed to work...

Naturally once he got in, he hasn't done jack shit and no one has bothered to ask him about his campaign pledge

Textbook example of asshat.

The real shame here is that the area of Georgia he's running in is likely to elect him, and he's apparently got a ton of money for his campaign. Not good.

they have decided that being adults and engaging in governing that includes being serious about the nation's problems and compromising is just not their thing.

They see this whole thing as a game despite their protestations. I think they seriously see this as a big game where Obama is the piñata to be busted apart.

Clinton arguably lied about his "incident" with Monica Lewinsky but it did not rise to the level of a high crime or misdemeanor as evidenced by the outcome of the Senate trial.

Obama has done none of those things. His only crimes are he is half-black and he is a Democrat. Being black is just a plus in the pukes' playbook for impeachment. All they really need is the fact he is a Democrat.

If any Presidents in recent memory should have been impeached they were Ronald "Iran Contra" Reagan and George "let's start a war on false pretenses that will result in $1T in cost and thousands of American lives" Bush.
