Why does it seem as if YouTube is infested with people who like Ron Paul?

Almost every political video I watch, there's a person getting a top rated comment saying "RON PAUL 2012", and every video I find that criticizes him gets thumbed down immensely. And even when I watch some of the Young Turks' videos, I find a bunch of his supporters, even though the Young Turks is supposedly a left-leaning show. I see more Ron Paul fans on YouTube than from any other candidate, even Obama. What gives?

1. The Paulite robots are emulating the LaRouchies.

They get their marching orders and fall into goose-step readily.

2. Most of Pauls supporters are young folks

Young folks are more active on places like youtube.

They also use the internet as a political tool more than any other demographic.

Same as asking why so many Romney supporters are at the country club.

12. True..

... and most Ron Paul supporters are true believers in their man. The rest of the political spectrum, well, not so much.

4. I posted a clip of some RWer yelling about Ron Paul

it almost immediately attracted a bunch of Paul fans, who not only commented on it but copied it and reposted it with their own accounts. It seems there are a good number of people out there compulsively typing "Ron Paul" into every search box they can find.

8. Even though I think he's full of shit..

He's saying things no other candidate has the intestinal fortitude to utter.

I don't think Paul has any intention of enacting the "reforms" he often speaks of if by some odd chance he was actually elected president but parts of his message resonate strongly with people you wouldn't normally think would fall for him or someone like him.

I got a good earful the other day from an older woman relative I would not have taken at first glance as a Paul supporter, I know for a fact she's pro-choice but I knew better than to try and tell her the truth about Paul on that issue, she wouldn't have believed me and it would have led to a bitter argument that would only have served to divide.

People only hear the part of Paul's message that they want to hear, there's more than enough dog whistle in his message to make it easy to skip the parts you don't like.

9. Pot

What issue dominates any online town hall that Obama has? The youth has seen the destruction of their family's and friend's over the war on pot. They see one politician promise to end the war on their peer's and family and the other going against his word and locking up medical users of the drug. The war on drugs was ramped up in the 80's which means those in their early 30's and younger have felt the brute impact of this war more than any other generation, they've seen father's, mother's, uncle's, and aunts being taken from them as children and are now watching as their peer's are being taken, not by the drug's but from hypocritical politicians. To ignore or dismiss the issue of legalizing a relatively harmless drug in this day and age is naive.

13. The young see Libertarianism

as license for the unrestrained freedom of individuals to do whatever they want (Ayn Rand). The don't see it for what it is: the most radical of contemporary doctrines that justify corporate rule over the individual.
