My great grandmother was half Irish, half English.
My mother is half Italian, and part French and Swiss.

I married a guy whose family can trace its roots back to when his very, very wealthy English ancestors arrived in Virginia (I could use some of that dough at the moment) in the 17th century. He's mostly English and Irish.

My coat of arms comes from my dad's family and is my maiden name (and now my middle name). I've always identified more with my Irish roots.

Which transliterates into Johnny Mac Brádaigh. an Ulster Cavan name.

I have three places I call home two are little island nations that are green rainy and Catholic.

The other is here in California where there is an experiment in many people living together in harmony, justice and peace.

Like the PI Ireland will become ONE nation... sometime.

I miss my two little island nations. Because the people there are soooo decent, respectful, and just the finest people I have met on this earth.

And British soldiers... try and not try shoot me again...

after I learned clogging and buckdance (kind of an American step-dance that incorporates Canadian). I've always wanted to learn the Irish form.

Since it will be hard to find corned beef and cabbage in Ireland (tis an American tradition).
I had some very good bangers today for lunch, boiled in a good stout.

Sorry I haven't checked back in until now on this thread but I posted just before leaving for work this morning.
