I will tell you my browser of choice is SRWare Iron that is similar to Google Chrome but with all the data mining crap removed from the source code.
http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware_iron.php
It does a wonderful job and is much faster.
If you use Safari, please indicate iPad or just your Mac.
The poll is completely unscientific, there is no errors made in there, just looking for people who have similar tastes that i do.

(10,713 posts)Home computer vs. work computer. I like the looks of chrome better, but I think the toolbars and functionality of firefox are more comfortable to use.
I haven't tried any of the others - except the nightmare of explorer, which I had to use setting up another computer until I could install a real browser.

(2,805 posts)Chrome may be faster and SRWare may strip out the data mining but FF just has every possible addon I could want available if needed.
I never gave Chrome a fair chance because Google is becoming "Evil" but from what I saw I still prefer FF despite Chrome's speed advantage.

(7,099 posts)My browser updated to 9 and some of my daily visited sites stopped loading right. Now I'm half and half with it and Chrome.

(20,600 posts)current crap where they release a new version every month or so. Firefox is still unrivaled because of the vast variety of extensions/add-ons available.
Safari is my second go-to choice, it's getting there but still not there yet to dethrone Firefox. Needs more extensions/add-ons yet.
I use Vista by the way (and now that I'm used to it, have grown fond of it believe it or not, fuck Win 7 or Win 8!)

(5,924 posts)I had already opted out of Google's snooping to the extent that I can, and changed my default search engine to ixquick. It's great to have a 'chrome' browser that's not Google Chrome!

(51,076 posts)I used to argue that firefox wasn't as fast or as good as exploder but now that I'm a linux man I find that firefox is indeed faster than internet explorer
Who puts out SRWare?
I really would like to know

(28,552 posts)... until Google got so damn insane about tracking every thing you do.
I'm back to Firefox, which isn't quite as good overall as Chrome but It does have lots of add-ons that make it better than Chrome in some ways.
I seriously do not trust Google any more and am also using other search engines more often also.

(27,630 posts)It sucks even worse now, that they force Bing on you. If Bing wants to compete with Google, fine, but it just adds to the annoyance of IE.
I use Google Chrome now, which works a lot better than IE.

(18,117 posts)I have three different Google accounts, so I use three different browsers so I don't have to keep logging out and logging back in. I like Chrome, but I don't like the way the bookmark menu works.
