Paul has been known around his following as the so-called "Anti-establishment Candidate" of the GOP, but I came across a thread that said he might throw support behind Willard, who just happens to be the establishment candidate. Paul's foreign policies are also considerably different from Romney's, as well, where he is more in favor of isolationism. Considering this, I am interested to see whether all of his people will back Willard, or what.

(8,556 posts)If Rand isn't the VP nominee and Ron doesn't strongly endorse Romney, Paul's supporters will fracture. A good chunk will go to Romney. Some will go to Obama. And the rest will go to other third party candidates, will write in Ron, or won't vote.
If Rand is the VP nominee and/or Ron goes balls out supporting Romney, the same thing will happen, but a significantly larger share will support Romney, with less going elsewhere or not voting.
