Duck Dynasty' will continue with Louisiana's help, Lt. Gov Jay Dardenne says

Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne said Saturday that the state of Louisiana is prepared to find a way to produce the unscripted television juggernaut "Duck Dynasty" if the show's stars, the Robertson family, do not resolve their differences with the A&E network over controversial comments made by patriarch Phil Robertson to a GQ magazine. "If the Robertson family cannot come to an agreement with A&E and wants to continue the show, Louisiana already has the infrastructure in place to maintain their record-breaking program," Dardenne said.

"Duck Dynasty", the most popular show ever on cable television, takes place in and around West Monroe and helps drive the state's tourism industry. If the show doesn't continue, it would hurt the state economy, said Dardenne, whose public job includes promoting Louisiana tourism.

How wrong is this? racist, homophobic religious programming brought to you courtesy of the state?

5. And as for this idiot's assertion "most popular show ever on cable television" ...

I'd think the Sopranos and many others I can think of might have something to say about that.

10. Yeah.

He said that black people working in the fields were happy and religious and never complained until Civil Rights and welfare ruined them.

8. Wait, but isn't that socialism?

The right is so hypocritical. Could you imagine the hell that would break lose on Fox News, if John Stewart made a dumb comment, got fired and then New York decided to continue producing the show.

9. With the help of Westboro Baptist Church also

Westboro Baptists Support 'Duck Dynasty' Star Phil Robertson "

"Now the Duck Dynasty Patriarch supporters have two more groups to add to their ranks as the Westboro Baptist Church and Quran-burning Pastor Terry Jones have weighed in with their support."
