OK, I've not commented yet on duck d, but this is just too, too much

I mean what is there to say about that bigoted piece of crap that hasn't been said here already, but when a candidate for congress compares Robinson to Rosa Parks? Unfuckingbelievable.

Candidate for Congress compares ‘Duck Dynasty’ star to Rosa Parks

Aurora political candidate Ian Bayne joined other conservatives rallying behind the embattled star of the A&E reality series “Duck Dynasty” Friday in a post on his campaign website praising the controversial TV personality.

A Republican candidate for Congress in the 11th District, Bayne called Phil Robertson the “Rosa Parks of our generation.” The 11th District includes parts of Naperville, Aurora and Joliet, among other towns.

<snip>

The post on Bayne’s site compares the iconic act of Parks — an African-American woman who defied customs of the day when she refused to relinquish her bus seat to a white person — and Robertson’s comments in the magazine interview.

“In December 1955, Rosa Parks took a stand against an unjust societal persecution of black people, and in December 2013, Robertson took a stand against persecution of Christians,” the post reads, adding that Parks inspired people across America. “What Parks did was courageous. What Mr. Robertson did was courageous, too.”

Phil Robertson is a martyr for biggoted "Christian" thoughts that he has and decided to spew in the middle of an interview. LOL. These idiots are boxing themselves into a corner.

And even though, 45% of Americans believe it is a sin to be gay, I'd say probably 1/2 of them don't believe they should be regulating the lives of others. My sister in law believes its a sin, but it doesn't mean she's out there being a bigoted jerk because she's had it rammed into her religious upbringing that it is a sin. Its also a sin to sit in judgement of others. This is the one thing that really disturbs me about the hijacking of Christianity. For Christians, the 2nd part of the bible is the one that should be most followed; the first section is just historical context and antidotes and stories. It isn't until Jesus came and died for their sins that the religion could even include people who weren't of Jewish descent that could be considered for the kindom of heaven upon death. I really abhor the fact that so many bible thumpers are people who blindly follow what the preacher on the pulpit says, yet never open their own bible or use other historical context of history around the times of the "stories" being highlighted in the bible.

Lastly, to equate someone's idiocy of spewing their inner thoughts and vomit into an interview that recieves blow back on their brand with the historical actions of Rosa Parks and the implication of what her actions had in the struggle for equal rights for African Americans, is simply disgusting. These Republican people really need to crack open a dictionary and read the definition of similie and how to properly use one. Even more disturbing is that this douche would use Rosa Parks, who was struggling against the segregation and Jim Crow south, with a man who speaks about black people in his day as happy cotton pickers on the farm, is probably the most offensive part of the analogy that the dumb ass politician could use. I know his tea party types will lap it up and create an internet meme over it, however, most of us are just horrified that a US rep would even want to wade into something like this; and then to do it in such an offensive manner. Really equate the bigot who would strip people of equality with a woman who bravely did her part to create equality... the supid and offensive TeaParty thugs continue to harm the most of us.

Old Phil Robertson had a swamp,
B-I-G-O-T.

And on his swamp he hated gays,
B-I-G-O-T.

With a bible verse here,
And a sermon there,
Here a verse, there a verse,
Everywhere a verse verse,

Old Phil Robertson had a swamp,
B-I-G-O-T.

Old Phil Robertson had a swamp,

And on his swamp he had some blacks,
B-I-G-O-T.

With a "thank you" here,
And a "whip me" there,
Here a thanks, there a thanks,
Everywhere a whip whip.

Old Phil Robertson had a swamp,
B-I-G-O-T.

cast judgment on everybody and tell us we're all going to hell in a handbasket if we don't take their word for it. That sounds like the equivalent of being treated like a lesser person because of your skin color.

Of course, though, they aren't being denied the right to express themselves (nobody is being threatened with being arrested). They just don't like the response back they are getting which is that plenty of us see their beliefs about gay people as not only wrong but also harmful and unethical. And there is actual proof of just how harmful those beliefs are to people's lives. They can only point back to the beliefs of someone else in the past or some invisible entity as their only reason for being so hateful.

answer: NO! When that happens, give me a call, I'll be here defending him.

Oh, seems he's been "persecuted" for offended his employer and his employer's customers with vicious hate in a published interview. I've known plenty of people fired for less with no fat bank account to fall back on. Fuck this guy, in fact both of them, in fact they can fuck each other for all I care.

Republicans are programmed by Faux noise, hate radio and in many cases their preacher every sunday not to think and to ignore reality.

The reich wing has to keep their followers dumb and scared shitless of the "others". You know, blacks, immigrants, women in general.

The duck nazis are totally fake, yuppy millionaires sucking $$$ out of the rubes just like Palin, Limpballs, etc.

Google duck dynasty before the beards to see the real con men and women behind the latest right wing scam. Republicans are knuckle dragging mouth breathing idiots.

God help this country, and the world, if these jackasses ever get into power again.

Dan Patrick is running for the GOP nomination for Lt Gov. In Texas, the Lt. governor is more powerful than governor. Patrick believes that G~d is speaking through Robertson. http://blogs.dallasobserver.com/unfairpark/2013/12/lt_guv_hopeful_dan_patrick_on.php. This may mean that we will need to add a new book to the bible. My daughter suggested The Lamentation of the Duck as a title
