1. 2014

Let's focus on getting a House majority and 75 Dems in the Senate. Kinda like what FDR had in 1937.

This way people like Warren and Sanders won't have to vote for bills like the recent bipartisan compromise budget. There can be progressive budget bills that get through Congress and to Obama's desk.

2. I would not bet against Hillary Clinton deciding to run in 2016

Her last quote in the article in the OP is interesting

“I am — thankfully, knock on wood — not only healthy but have incredible stamina and energy. I just wanna see what else is out there.” — asked in the same Walters’ interview if her health would prevent her from running.

“I think that, you know, look, obviously the president and I care deeply about what’s going to happen for our country in the future. And I don’t think, you know, either he or I can make predictions about what’s going to happen tomorrow or the next year.” — Jan. 27, in a joint interview with President Barack Obama on CBS’s “60 Minutes.”

3. Your "Hillary isn't running" link...

...is almost a year old and almost entirely full of quotes made when she was still SoS and it would be awkward and a breach of etiquette to say she was planning on running.

Edit: That said, 2014 please?

did this interview. Had to be some time ago also.

With 10 people, and cuts and editing, could have been long ago.

Maybe we can find out?

9. Now that the battle over

Hill and Senator Warren for POTUS is over, we

can focus on 2014 and looking for a man or woman to run

as a progressive. Maybe even convince Bernie Sanders to change

his (I) to a (D), and we can start sending him some cash to make it happen!

I forget he is a possibility. I don't see him in the posts

or news as a candidate. Wish he would come out of hiding

so we can see what he may have planned for the future.

We still do have 2014 to VOTE in and win!

Democrat thru and thru. I vote democrat.

I also believe we need to cast the centrist, third way from the party..

I am working toward that goal, and hope that our elected officials, now and

in the future will return to the Democratic party we were set up to be.

Liberal Democrat looking for progressives (my new sig line)

26. I was so disappointed when Hillary bowed out.

Do you think there's any chance she might change her mind? Any chance at all? I know it's a really, really long shot but I do remember way back when Ross Perot bowed out and later re-entered the race. Does anyone have any words of encouragement for this Hillary fan that she might, just might, possibly change her mind and decide to enter the 2016 race after all?

Look at the date of the article, it's from January 2013. Hillary hasn't decided yet whether she will run. She will make a decision after next year's midterm elections.

34. Yeah, in her interview with Walters she literally said she'd "decide in 2014."

Probably late 2014 maybe a bit early to get the base riled up. We'll see how she does it.

He also said that she wouldn't make her decision until after the midterms. People keep pushing, but they'll just have to wait.

so.....it is completely normal that she would take that stance so as to not create a political sideshow for her boss.

33. She's running Manny. She hasn't given that answer since she stepped down as SoS.

She always is non-committal. It fucking sucks but she's running.

She laughs about it in fact in the latest speeches that it's almost as if she's getting a kick out of not saying anything and every time the audience cheers because they know what that means.

Just go watch some recent speeches (in public venues, many of her speeches are non-public).

edit: I swear I didn't read the other comments before posting, sorry for, erm, beating the dead horse. Being a broken record, etc, etc.

(I always read threads after commenting, I know it's bad practice, but clearly I always bring something original to the table so I am too quick to respond. )
