Rush Limbaugh - "Sleep Train is begging me back, but no!"Last edited Sun Mar 11, 2012, 04:36 PM USA/ET - Edit history (2)
That was a publicity stunt designed to deflect criticism, and I'm shocked no one has called him on it, yet.
Research is a beautiful thing. Look up Sleep Train, the guy who owns it, and Rush Limbaugh or Jeff Christie (his other radio name). Speaks for itself. They are trying to play the public into thinking people are begging Limbaugh to be their advertiser. They aren't. It's a desperate stunt. To clarify, these two, the owner of Sleep Train, and Rush Limbaugh are good friends. This was invented to help the narrative that Rush's advertisers merely got spooked and weren't really defecting.

His Daddy and Grand-daddy were named Limbaugh.

Last edited Sun Mar 11, 2012, 04:38 PM USA/ET - Edit history (2) He assumed that name as a radio host in the past. As I said.
That wasn't the point of this post. Rush and the Sleep Train owner have been friends for years. This is a stunt to make people believe that advertisers are begging to come back. EDIT: Edited to reflect that was a radio name. Apologies for screwing up and calling it his given name. |

4. Sorry
|
But when you begin a sentence with 'research is a beautiful thing'...and end it with an incorrect name, I quit reading.
Wouldn't you? |

9. too late ... when one of those types gets hold of an error ...

you're more likely to be able to escape from Alcatraz with all the gold you stole from Ft. Knox than have them get back on track.

10. I know
|
That's why I attempted to be graceful about it.
You just can't win with people that are determined to defend an idol, especially since this is a political site, and you have the political head of the opposed party under attack. Oh well. I'm not inclined to wrestle with the pig that is Rush Limbaugh, nor his followers that wrestle in the mud with them. |

6. I'm a little confused.
|
His friend is giving up sponsoring his show in order to play the public? Don't both him and his friend lose out by doing this?
Is the plan that Limbaugh will eventually "relent" and allow Sleep Train to come back? |

11. Sounds like that's what's coming
|
Limbaugh will pretend to play hard to get and tease us for awhile, allowing himself to be courted and pursued by suitors like Sleep Train, letting his cysts get kissed to their heart's content. Finally, he'll relent and allow Sleep Train to park its locomotive in his track and enter the station. Rush doesn't want to appear to be too easy, as he has to maintain his reputation that he's not that kind of guy. The make-up sex though will be sizzling.

Glad as I am that the Fluke thing may have been the straw that broke the pig's back, Al Franken had it right when he said the guy drawing a paycheck as Limbaugh's fact checker had the easiest job in the world. How could ANYONE get away with mistaking Kony and the LRA for a church? Even if you hate churches you know better than that. |

12. Absolutely
|
But it helps to expose those that live for politics rather than morality. Rush Limbaugh would rather support a child destroyer via warfare and sexual servitude than support the President of the United States attempting to put a stop to such practices.
It's as though he'd support someone murdering his neighbors and molesting their daughters because he doesn't like the way they weed the garden and mow the grass. If everyone mowed their grass and weeded the lawn the way HE thinks they should, well hell, it's okay to punish those that don't do it that way. |

13. Do they make a double-wide bed? Fuck you, Rush. Yeah, I said that - FUCK YOU!

And I'm just SO sure he's proud that something called "Sleep Train" wants him back. That's just like "Soul Train" but without the "soul" part.
