I lived through that fucking mess in 2008....

Why the hell would I want to watch it again...

Seriously, I would rather watch reruns of the Golden Girls than watch a movie about one of the low spots in modern American History.

That she was even seriously considered for national office shows how ignorant the people on the other side of the aisle truly are.

I thought it was an excellent film and I'm glad I ordered HBO and watched it.

No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public....

I guess you could double down by replacing American public with Republicans.

Going to be in a hotel later this week. I'll be able to watch it Friday night, which I probably will, just out of curiosity.

For example up until this point I hadn't seen a recreation of the faces on the McCain camp every time they turned on MSNBC.

All through the movie they are turning on MSNBC and their faces turned to astonished agonizing grimaces as Olbermann or somebody else dumped another load on them.

For example Todd's membership in the Alaska independence party was dealt with in some depth. Schmidt learned about that from watching MSNBC.

At one point Schmidt states "I have to get McCain to stop watching Keith Olbermann".

I'll hear about it second-hand, and that's plenty close enough.

We don't need to wallow in that dismal history.

2008 was epic, so entertaining, so fun, so epic.

Hell, I'm watching the 2012 Venezuelan elections more closely than the 2012 United States elections, simply because our elections this year are hardly worth watching except maybe enjoying the complete collapse of the Republican party.

Extrapolating not wanting to watch one movie into not watching any movie.

I thought I gave pretty good reasons why I didn't want to watch this particluar movie.

And I know that I have had my fill of anything relating to Ms. Palin.

Watch if you want, don't watch if you want.

That period was a national nightmare and a world-wide embarrassment. And then to have rerun it again is

And the fact that people like Tweety have gone starry-eyed about this damn biopic, makes me ill. The woman and that party were and still are the personification of evil. Racist. Bigoted. Evil.

There were a lot of reports in the waning days of the '08 election of a Mooselini meltdown and this puts some meat on those delicious bones. We knew she was not only dumber than a box of rocks but lazy to boot...this movie shows it. It also shows how desperate the McCain campaign was knowing it had a lame candidate and ended up with their own worst nightmare.

I'm not a big movie watcher and have had my fill of Grifterella but this movie really has some merit and if you were following that election a lot of interesting pieces fall into place. While it makes Palin look sympathetic it also makes her look pathetic and testimony that she wasn't nor ever will have the qualifications to be President.
