Obamas Might Stay in Washington After Presidency Ends

Obamas Might Stay in Washington After Presidency

President Obama told ABC News that he and his family might stay in Washington, D.C. after his second term is over because youngest daughter Sasha will still be in high school as a sophomore.

Said Obama: "So we've gotta--you know we gotta make sure that she's doin' well... until she goes off to college. Sasha will have a big say in where we are."

"If the Obamas do stay in Washington and maintain a residence in the city, President Obama would be the first president to do so since Woodrow Wilson."

That wouldn't be a great time to change schools.

That's great.

Remember Jan. 2009 when some entity or persons wouldn't let them move to the Blair? House early to start the girls in school on schedule?

He will still be quite young in 2017. I can easily see him as Chief Justice. Wingnuts heads will explode too.

But, we have to make sure we have a Democrat in the White House after he leaves, or that won't happen.

I'm concerned that he doesn't seem particularly fanatical about applying it in some situations. Like why isn't Dick Cheney in jail? Why are Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan Chase still in business?

Oh well. He can't be expected to take the delusions of others into account when making a decision like that.

I dip into the RW websites now and then. Even before the 2012 election some of those nutjobs were saying that, if Obama won, it would be the last presidential election ever, because he would upend the Constitution and become dictator for life.

The "moderates" were saying that he'd find a way to run for a third term.

A lot has changed.

Where will the Obamas find a house? Not far from Sidwell Friends, I would suppose.

sense. Ease out of D.C... it's going to be sad to see them go.

“‘Cause she’s, you know, obviously they–and Michelle–have made a lot of sacrifices on behalf of my cockamamie ideas, the running for office and things,” Obama joked."

Did the news outlets regularly transcribe George W. Bush's colloquialisms verbatim, including his many instances of dropping the g?

This just seems fishy.
